Seaside & Country Homes

 

Welcome to Seaside & Country Homes

The Seaside & Country Homes scheme helps council and housing association tenants move to a different home outside London.  These are either two-bedroom bungalows or one and two-bedroom flats.

Please read the following information before starting your application.

 

Eligibility criteria

 To be eligible for Seaside & Country Homes, you must:

be at least 55 years of age

be a current housing association or council tenant

be living in a London borough that is participating in the Seaside & Country Homes scheme and have a secure, assured or fixed term tenancy

have a household of no more than three people (restrictions apply)

 

Joint applicants and household members

If you are making a joint application the lead applicant must be at least 55 years of age and must be a current tenant of the property on the application
If you intend to add a household member under the age of 55 they must be either your partner or spouse, current joint tenant, registered carer or dependent adult child

       
Information you will need

Before you start your application, please make sure you have the following information ready:

• National Insurance (NI) number of all relevant household members  

• your tenancy agreement 

• details of any current rent arrears and the highest level of arrears in the last 12 months (if applicable).

 

Using the application form

The first set of questions will determine your eligibility for the scheme.  If you are eligible, you will then be able to complete the rest of the form.

Use the ‘next’ and ‘back’ buttons to move through the application form. If you need assistance there is helper text next to some of the questions. If you still need help to complete the form, please contact your landlord.


Finish later option

You can choose to come back to your form at another time by clicking the ’finish later’ button.

 

Interrupted application 

If your application is interrupted or terminated without a password having been generated, you will not be able to start a new application until the next working day. If you attempt to make a new application on the same day, you will not be able to do so.
